Rathbornes candles should be burnt and looked after in a specific way to ensure an optimal burning experience. To ensure an optimal burning experience, we recommend trimming the wick to approximately 1/4 inch before lighting. Allow the candle to burn until the wax pool reaches the edges of the container on the first use to prevent tunnelling.

Rathbornes candles and diffusers are made with the utmost care and precision. Our artisans use high-quality materials and a meticulous process to create luxurious scents and beautiful designs. We combine our five hundred year heritage for a superior burn and a scent that will fill any space

If your candle doesn’t burn evenly, this could be due to various factors, such as draughty conditions or an improperly trimmed wick. Ensure the wick is trimmed to the recommended length (about 1/4-inch) before each use. If issues persist, consider moving your candle away from drafts and allowing it to burn until the wax pool reaches the container's edges.

Excessive black smoke may indicate a too-long wick or a draughty environment. Trim the wick to the recommended length, and ensure the candle is placed away from draughts.

For glass cleaning and wick removal, gently wipe the container with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive materials, and if necessary, use a mild detergent. To remove wicks, wait until the wax is cooled and solidified, then carefully lift them out. Dispose of any residue before relighting.

Why not consider upcycling your candle vessels? This is a simple and sustainable way to decorate your space.

To enjoy our fragrance diffusers, simply insert the reed sticks into the bottle, allowing them to absorb the scent. Flip the sticks periodically for a renewed fragrance burst! Shop your diffusers and refills here.

Refilling your fragrance diffuser is easy. Carefully remove the used reeds, pour the refill liquid into the diffuser bottle, and insert fresh reeds. Allow time for the fragrance to absorb into the reeds before enjoying the revitalised scent.
