Fig leaf, bergamot and cardamom lift first, green and bright, before leather, oud and smoked tea settle in with the weight of bound paper and old shelves. Sandalwood, vetiver, vanilla and amber hold it there, warm and unhurried. Dún: In Irish, Dún means a fort or stronghold; a place of shelter and safe keeping. As a verb it means to close, as in closing out the world.
